Health & Nursing Pathway

This pathway was created for those students that know that they want a career helping others to achieve health and happiness.

Our health & Nursing pathway allows you to study qualifications in areas that will help you with your career goals, all whilst being mentored by qualified trainers and staff that will guide you towards your future.

By studying the Cert III and Cert IV, You’ll be able to work as well as study in a highly evolving and fascinating industry where you are always needed.

Important extra information: You don’t need to complete the Cert III before the Cert IV. We have students that complete the Cert IV and then go back and complete the Cert III so that they can work as an AIN/PCA while at University.

Cert III

Cert III in Health Services Assistance will help you understand the health industry and how to care for others. It will give you the opportunity to work in aged care and individual support roles while you’re tackling larger educational goals too!

Cert IV

Cert IV in Preparation for Heath & Nursing Studies will give you the foundational knowledge to reduce the stress of first year university. We go into detail about the human body, infection control, medication, and finish with how to research and reference at university level. A great opportunity to try your skills at higher level education in the safe zone of HSH.

University

University or other VET Courses. Your Cert IV will give the ability to apply for either a Diploma program with another RTO or a Bachelor degree at a university.

Here are some suggested University courses that you could aim for:

*Nursing is competitive – although you may meet entry requirements, there is no guarantee of acceptance. This is also the case for ATAR entry. 

You are able to use your completed Cert IV + English competency to apply for any University course that requires a score of 70. There are a lot of options out there for you, so think outside the box! Always have a backup plan. Explore different career options!

Our health pathway allows you to study qualifications in areas that will help you with your career goals, all whilst being mentored by qualified trainers and staff that will guide you towards your future.

By studying the Cert III and Cert IV, You’ll be able to work as well as study in a highly evolving and fascinating industry where you are always needed.

Cert III

Cert III in Population Health will help you understand the allied health industry and how to care for others. It will give you the opportunity to work in aged care, individual support, and allied health assistance roles while you’re tackling larger educational goals too!

Cert IV

Cert IV in Tertiary Preparation with a focus on health and disease will give you a unique look at cells, genetics, anatomy & physiology, microbiology, and how these help or hinder the body to fight disease.

University

You have the ability to apply for either a Diploma program with another RTO or a Bachelor degree at a university.

Animal Pathway

This pathway was created for those students that know that they want a career looking after animals, supporting conservation and sustainability, and maintaining the habitats found in all corners of the globe.

Our animal pathway allows you to study qualifications in areas that will help you with your career goals, all whilst being mentored by qualified trainers and staff that will guide you towards your future.

By studying the Cert III and Cert IV, You’ll be able to work as well as study in an industry that looks after those who sometimes cannot look after themselves.

Cert III

Cert III in Animal Care Services will teach you about mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles. Our Perth and Bunbury Hubs even have their own Fish tanks that you will get to help maintain. This qualification teaches you about the animal industry, how to identify welfare concerns, and even delivery some animal first aid.

Cert IV

Cert IV in Science (Biology) will give you the foundational knowledge to reduce the stress of first year university. This is a Science qualification, and therefore you will explore far more than just animal and marine life. We look at everything from mathematical science, laboratory science, Biological science and more. You’ll then spend a whole term learning about animal and marine biology and finish with how to research and reference at university level. A great opportunity to try your skills at higher level education in the safe zone of HSH.

University

Upon completing this qualification, students are able to use their Certificate IV completion to gain entry into university. A completed Certificate IV + evidence of English competency will provide you with the equivalent of a 70 ATAR. This means that you would be able to use this as a stepping stone to any of the following (and more!):

Mental Health & Psychology Pathway

The brain can be the best thing an the worst thing about us. These qualifications look at the good and bad of mental health and how you can make a difference.

Our psychology pathway allows you to study qualifications in areas that will help you with your career goals, all whilst being mentored by qualified trainers and staff that will guide you towards your future.

By studying the Cert III and Cert IV, You’ll be able to understand a bit more about the brain and how it helps us through the highs and lows of life.

Cert III

Cert III in Community Services allows students to investigate and discuss the communities in which they live and work. Students will look further into mental health, drugs, and alcohol and identify how they can recognise and respond to the ups and downs that life throws at us all.

Cert IV

Cert IV in Tertiary Preparation – Psych & Mental Health will give you the foundational knowledge to reduce the stress of first year university. You’ll spend your qualification learning about social psychology and investigations as well as mental health and mental disorders. You’ll finish with how to research and reference at university level. A great opportunity to try your skills at higher level education in the safe zone of HSH.

University

Upon completing this qualification, students are able to use their Certificate IV completion to gain entry into university. A completed Certificate IV + evidence of English competency will provide you with the equivalent of a 70 ATAR. Laboratory & Forensics Pathway

Growing up watching the crime scene TV shows has probably made an impact on you heh? We have all imagined being involved in the world of CSI and finding the missing piece of the puzzle. This pathway will help you look at the world in a whole new way.

Our Forensics pathway allows you to study qualifications in areas that will help you with your career goals, all whilst being mentored by qualified trainers and staff that will guide you towards your future.

By studying the Cert III and Cert IV, You’ll be able to dive into the microscopic world as well as put the puzzle pieces together.

Cert III

Cert III in Laboratory Skills allows students to gain the skills and knowledge to look at the world from a scientific viewpoint. Working with Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, our Cert III students spend three full days at their Labs to gain some real world experiences and learn some amazing new skills.

Cert IV

Cert IV in Science (Biology) will give you the foundational knowledge to reduce the stress of first year university. This is a Science qualification, and therefore you will explore far more than just forensics. We look at everything from mathematical science, laboratory science, Biological science and more. You’ll then spend a whole term learning about how to identify evidence, package, and investigate the smallest of key information. You’ll finish with how to research and reference at university level. A great opportunity to try your skills at higher level education in the safe zone of HSH.

University

Upon completing this qualification, students are able to use their Certificate IV completion to gain entry into university. A completed Certificate IV + evidence of English competency will provide you with the equivalent of a 70 ATAR. Being active is an important part of being healthy, but even better is knowing the reasons and links behind why we do what we do.

Our Exercise pathway allows you to study qualifications in areas that will help you with your career goals, all whilst being mentored by qualified trainers and staff that will guide you towards your future.

By studying the Cert III and Cert IV, You’ll be able to understand the human body including it’s limitations and opportunities for peak performance.

Cert III

Cert III in Fitness starts off by looking into the human body, how it functions, and how you (as a fitness professional) can help it function even better. You’ll learn all about group fitness, and gym fitness, and how to motivate others to reach their health goals.

Cert IV

Cert IV in Tertiary Preparation – Sports & Nutrition will give you the foundational knowledge to reduce the stress of first year university. You’ll spend the qualification learning about how the body changes over the lifespan, how drugs can impact the body, and the psychology that goes along with being a successful sportsperson. You’ll finish with how to research and reference at university level. A great opportunity to try your skills at higher level education in the safe zone of HSH.

University

Upon completing this qualification, students are able to use their Certificate IV completion to gain entry into university. This program is only available to adults who are working in this environment. This is NOT a public course and we do not process classrooms of students into this industry. Instead, we work with industry to train their existing employees in this area.
