Entry Requirements:

Studying at a Cert IV level is not 'easy'. There is certainly an academic nature to this level of qualification and we want to make sure that you're capable at this level. This is why we have entry requirements. It's really important that you are able to show us that you meet these requirements or some other form of evidence for academic achievement - otherwise we cannot approve your application.

It's also worth noting that we don't recommend the Cert IV for year 11 students in the classroom. We feel that it's too big of a jump going from year 10 into a Cert IV program - therefore we will probably offer you a Cert III qualification for year 11 and then invite you back for a Cert IV in year 12.

Here is what you need for your application:

  • Completed OLNA or NAPLAN. This means that NAPLAN was band 7 in year 9, or your OLNA shows 3 for all areas.
  • A recent school report showing that you have achieved C grade minimums in English. If you cannot show required grades, a previous completed certificate will also satisfy this entry requirement.
